Vehicle Safety

The Vehicle Safety system monitors key parameters such as speed, fuel level, engine temperature, battery voltage, and safety alerts in real time. Data is sent through the panel topic dash_177xxxxxxxxxx and displayed on dashboards with gauges and status indicators. This allows you to track personal or fleet vehicles from one place.

How It Works

  1. Create an account if you are a new user, or sign in if you already have an account.
  2. Create a new panel.
  3. Add widgets to the panel.
  4. Save the panel after adding widgets.
  5. Connect your hardware devices with the respective dashboard topic ID; values will be transmitted and displayed in the widgets.

What you can track

SpeedReal-time speed from OBD or GPS.
Fuel levelFuel tank level or range.
Engine temperatureCoolant or engine temp.
Battery voltage12V/24V system voltage.
Status displayAlerts and overall status.

Before You Start

Connect your vehicle data source to the same cloud as KiwisIoT.

Your firmware must publish vehicle data to dash_177xxxxxxxxxx in a structured format such as JSON.

Create a dashboard panel and link widgets to the same topic to visualize readings and status. For wiring details and payload formats, refer to the documentation or contact support.

Tips

  • Use channel IDs 0–4 for Speed, Fuel, Engine temp, Battery, and Status Display in the default panel.
  • Calibrate fuel and temperature sensors for your vehicle type.
  • Set alert thresholds for overheating or low battery and show them in Status Display.
